Excel (lab 9)

Before this lab I was not familiar with Microsoft excel or the math equation that we learned in the lab today. Prior to coming to this lab I did not no how to calculate the statistics properly. Now after completing the lab I feel more comfortable when using these equations. At first it was frustrating when the application was doing other than what I wanted it to do. But after some practice I found out that it was me that was doing something wrong. I also didn’t no that this program could do the type math and organizing that it is capable of. It took some getting use to, but I think I finally got the hang of it. I also like many ways that you can display your information other than just numbers. Excel has a lot of different graphs and pie charts that I didn’t know about. I personally think that inductive modeling forces people to think on a higher level than what they normally would. Inductive modeling makes people think outside the box in ways that people normally would not. To me this form of thinking is more exciting than reading out of a book. It basically gives the person a chance to put the pieces together and come up with hypothesis and assumptions. I like the data analysis portion of this lab as well because you get the satisfaction of seeing the final product once the calculations are complete.

yes,
inductive modelling is the way people handle observations in the real world.
when you are predicting some future out of the observations you've had so far, you're always doing inductive modelling.
